General information about the department

The reader service department has been operating since 1965. The department provides children, adolescents and other readers with the use of all printed documents, electronic resources and local network. It provides mobile library service based on the contract signed with schools and pre-school institutions. Registers readers to the library and performs services for reader groups. Participates in the compilation of auxiliary literature funds and fulfills readers' inquiries about this literature. The service department regularly organizes exhibitions of new literature, as well as books and periodicals on significant and historical days. Directly participates in the selection of necessary literature for the preparation of virtual exhibitions. Provides mobile services to children with disabilities and homeschoolers. The service department organizes fairy-tale and psychology classes, fun interactive games with young readers in the "Storytelling Room". The complete electronic text of the most used books and articles printed in the periodical press is provided to the readers by the local service by the service department based on the reader survey created by the automation and bibliography departments. Also, resources on various topics are transferred to electronic media and made available for virtual use. The department has the right to choose publications from the bookkeeping fund of the library, use the information-bibliography service and participate in events held by other departments.
