General information about the department

 The assembly department has been operating since 1965. Since its inception, the department has been comprehensively dealing with the processes of compiling books, processing literature, and compiling catalogs. Since 1971, a cataloging and bookkeeping, accounting and registration section has been organized under the Completion Department. The department helps in the correct formation and use of the library fund, carries out accurate accounting and registration of incoming and outgoing literature, its distribution according to content and publication types. Each book included in the electronic catalog is encoded using a barcode. Ensures that required literature is obtained from appropriate sources. It carries out the work of current and retrospective compilation of the book fund. Supervises fund replenishment and fund protection based on accounting documents, statistical reporting. Compiles and edits the alphabetical and systematic catalog, divides the printed products included in the library by departments and branches. Organizes a review of new literature together with the employees of the relevant departments.

In accordance with Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Library Work", 2 free mandatory copies of all books and booklets published by state and non-state publishing houses, other enterprises and organizations must be sent to the library.
